TORSOID’ (2025)

My antidote to classical statues. A memorial for all of us who never had a marble bust of an ancestor in a wig or a town centre bronze statue mounted on a horse for ignoble deeds of empire or the economical truths of politics. This is the statue for everyone else; the unsung heroes; the unseen, the unheard and those who bear the silent scars. You will want to own this just for its rebelliousness and wanton streak. Much more shabbily exciting than the V&A and you can hold it in your hand too. Unique ‘brinzed’ sculpture 1/1. Materials: 300 million year old ironstone, acrylic paints, repurposed copper wire, pine wood offcut from a master craftsman and superglue.
