Boundaries

This is what I imagine happens to the air around me when I set my boundaries. I have children with additional needs and I spend SO much time battling ignorant people who never consider my kids behaviour might actually be due to disability. I throw so much frost around it's ridiculous. I started painting to give my mind a break and I love alcohol ink because there's limited control (like my life), but always ends up vibrant and beautiful. I look at this and I see all the shade and cold I must give off when I engage in battle with idiots over my kids. And it makes me smile, because actually- although its not always easy, or visible- I do have boundaries. And maybe, this is a bit of what it looks like. Not everything is black and white, not everything is clear. Sometimes I put up my guard and it's still colourful and layered, even if it is a little bit frosty at times. I'm just trying to get through my day as best I can. So are you. But, please, let's respect the boundaries. Alcohol ink on Yupo, with flecks of golden shimmer, for a painting that changes with the light.
