The air still, not a sound, a leaf fell from a beech tree, then another, then another and another. As I walked, more leaves carpeting the woodland floor. Not the end of life for the trees, just a pause in the life cycle of the woodland while there is regeneration. Perhaps that is my life now… A pause, the regeneration will surely come.
