Armistice Day
This was started with the memory of a dear friend (who died many years ago) in mind. I wanted to create a stillness but with a hint of hope. It became more than that as I was painting and I started to think about my parents and grandparents and their experience through the war. That generational trauma that has seeped into all of ours lives but also giving us so much so be thankful for.
