Washing day a monoprint

One of my own early memories is washing day, when mum would get out the twin tub and that lovely warm soapy smell would fill the house. Now, a mother myself, I sit in my little garden studio with the washing blowing on the line outside against the bright blue sky. Why does a line of washing make you feel happy? This piece is an original monoprint using oil based blue and pink ink on paper.
