Going home a collage

This collage is created using various bits and pieces from my printmaking practice. It's always sad to see the swallows going back to Africa at the end of our summer, but amazing to think that the parents go off first, leaving the youngsters to follow on when they're ready. Our young ones are often braver and capable of much more than we think. I try to let mine spread their wings, but unlike the swallows, I stick around to support them when they need me.
